How Long to Steam My Cake?

Steam for 15-20 minutes. every 3 minutes open the lid of the steamer so the cake doesn't swell or break. for the first 3 minutes, brush the surface of the cake with oil so that it shines beautifully.

What Are Angku Made Of?

Made from glutinous rice flour, angku pandan has many fans. Usually, this cake is served when there is a child's birth and birthday event. besides in the market, this cake can also be found in supermarkets. The colors are varied, made from natural ingredients such as green from pandan, purple from purple sweet potato and others.

Material contents

  • 100 gr peeled green beans
  • 100 gr sugar
  • 100 ml thick coconut milk
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 lb pandan leaves

How to make

  • 1. Soak green beans for 2 hours. Drain well. Steamed until cooked
  • 2. Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour in Teflon, add pandan leaves.
  • 3. Cook over low heat while stirring until the coconut milk shrinks & can be scavenged. Lift & weigh & round with weight @ 13gr
  • 1. Mix all ingredients (except coconut milk), stir. Pour the coconut milk little by little, while kneading until the dough is smooth & can be scavenged.
  • 2. Divide the dough into 2 parts, 1 bag. give the color rose red, 1 bag. again with yellow color, knead until smooth. Divide & weigh the dough weighing @ 30gr, round it. Cover with plastic, so it doesn't dry out.
  • 3. Take 1 dough, flatten. Fill, pack tightly & tidy.
  • 4. Enter & press the dough into my cake mold which has been sprinkled with thin glutinous rice flour. Remove from the mold & place on the leaves.
  • 5. Put my cake into the preheated steamer. Steam for 10 minutes, occasionally opening the lid, so that the cake doesn't expand. Remove, add Edible Stamp on top, then brush with oil so that the cake is soft, not dry.

Leather

  • 200 gr Glutinous Flour
  • 50 gr powdered sugar
  • 75 gr steamed potatoes, mashed
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 175 ml of warm thick coconut milk
  • Food coloring, Rose Red & Lemon Yellow
  • Banana leaves, cut into small pieces & spread thinly with oil
