Muahchee
Ingredients
- 150 g of sticky rice
- 225 g water
- 2 tsp sugar
- Salt, a little
- 1 tbsp onion oil (fry 3 cloves of garlic in olive oil)
Toppings
- 75 g peanuts that have been roasted/roasted 30 g granulated sugar (blender until smooth)
- Fried Onion (I skipped)
Method
- 1. Put the glutinous rice flour, sugar & salt into a bowl, pour in the water & onion oil, then stir until smooth.
- 2. Pour the mixture into a glass bowl, steam over boiling water over high heat for 15 minutes.
- 3. Prepare the toppings on a large tray.
- 4. After the muah chee dough is cooked & slightly cold, use a silicone spatula to transfer the dough to the peanut mixture.
- 5. Cut the muah chee into small pieces and coat with the peanut mixture.
- 6. Sprinkle with fried onions.
