Ingredients Gurandil / Cenil Cut

  • 250 grams of tapioca flour / starch
  • 50 grams of flour
  • 400 ml of plain cold water
  • 200 ml boiling water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Grated coconut to taste, steamed for wrapping
  • Enough sugar for sprinkling.

How to Make Gurandil / Cenil Cut

  • Prepare the steamer. Heat until the steaming water boils.
  • Meanwhile, mix the cornstarch, flour and salt, mix well and then add 400 ml of water, mix well until there are no lumps.
  • Cook 200 ml of water until it boils, then pour it directly into the flour mixture, stirring quickly until well blended.
  • Divide the two equally and then each is colored according to taste.
  • Pour into a heat-resistant container that has been greased and covered with plastic. Steam for about 25 minutes.
  • Remove from the steamer and cool. Once cool, cut into pieces according to taste using a plastic knife or plastic spatula.
  • Roll the gurandil pieces in the grated coconut. Remove, serve with a sprinkling of granulated sugar or with brown sugar kinca sauce
