Banana Donut

Ingredients

  • 270 high pro flour / chakra
  • 1 tbsp milk powder
  • 50 gr sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 5 g instant yeast
  • 100 gr mashed ripe banana without skin
  • 40 ml liquid milk
  • 40 gr butter
  • pinch of salt

Method

  • 1. Peel the banana, mash it with a fork, set aside
  • 2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, except butter and salt
  • 3. Knead until smooth
  • 4. Add butter and salt, knead again until elastic
  • 5. Round it, let it rest in a plastic covered bowl for about 40 minutes or until it has doubled in size
  • 6. After 40 minutes, deflate, then round up to 40gr. Flatten the dough, punch a hole with the back of a syringe or use a donut mold.
  • 7. Leave the dough in a closed container until it rises (about 15 minutes)
  • 8. Fry in a lot of oil on medium heat. Deep fry once again so that the rings are visible.
  • 9. Drain, serve with a sprinkling of powdered sugar.
