It is called Putri Mandi cake because it is usually served complete with a splash of coconut milk which is like taking a bath.
What is Bugis Mandi?
Named bugis mandi because this cake looks like it is in a bubble bath. a green ball that was almost submerged in the white coconut milk around it. The softness of the glutinous rice flour and sweet coconut filling, combined with the savory coconut milk makes our mouths feel like we are partying when we eat this snack.
Leather
- 200 gr Glutinous Flour
- 20 gr Rice Flour
- 10 gr Wheat Flour
- 1/8 tsp fine salt
- 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
- 170 gr Coconut Milk @karasantan.id (heated)
- 1/4 tsp Pandan Paste
- 4 drops pink coloring
- 4 Drops of yellow dye
Coconut Unti
- 250 gr Grated Coconut
- 125 gr Palm Sugar finely combed
- 25 gr sugar
- 1 pandan leaf in a knot
- 100 gr Coconut Milk
Coconut Milk
- 300 gr Coconut Milk
- 100 gr Water
- 2 pandan leaves in a knot
- 30 gr cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp fine salt
How to make
- 1. Combine all ingredients to make coconut core, cook over low heat, stir well and cook until dry. Remove and set aside
- 2. Combine all the ingredients to make the coconut milk sauce into a saucepan, cook over low heat while continuing to stir until the sauce recognizes. Remove and set aside
- 3. Mix all the flour, salt and sugar, mix well and pour the warm coconut milk, knead until smooth. Divide the dough into 3 parts and each add Pandan Paste and food coloring, knead again until smooth.
- 4. Take enough dough, flatten and put the coconut core, close tightly and form a round shape. Do it until it runs out.
- 4. Bring the water to a boil, after boiling add the cake balls and boil until cooked, remove and drain.
- 5. Prepare takir banana leaves, put some Bugis balls, and flush with coconut milk sauce, serve. Good luck and hopefully useful
