Ingredients

  • 1200 ml coconut milk
  • 300 gr starch / tapioca
  • 150 gr triangular flour
  • 400 gr sugar
  • tsp vanilla
  • tsp salt
  • Enough red food coloring

How to make

  • 1. Cook coconut milk + salt. Stir until boiling. Set aside, let cool.
  • 2. Mix tapioca flour + flour + sugar
  • 3. Enter the half cold coconut milk first. Stir until smooth, no lumps, then add the remaining coconut milk, mix well. Add vanilla, strain.
  • 4. Divide the dough into 6. Take the 125gr x 3 white dough, set aside. The rest are given blue coloring, mix well. (Gradation of color, starting from 1 drop first, next 2 drops, next 3 drops, and so on)
  • 7. Prepare the steamer. Make sure the steamer is boiling hot. Put in a 20x20x7cm tin that has been lightly greased with oil. Enter the dough in the order of white first then light to dark color (125gr per layer). Every time you add the dough, don't forget to stir it first so the flour doesn't settle. Steam for 5 min each layer. The last layer steamed 15 min.
