Ingredients
- 250 gr low protein flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp double acting baking powder
- 140 ml of water
- 1 tbsp margarine
- Blue, brown, red food coloring.
- Filling: chocolate jam
How to make
- 1. Mix flour, yeast, sugar and baking powder, mix well then add water little by little. Knead until half smooth.
- 2. Add margarine, knead until smooth.
- 3. Divide into several parts, each adding dye, knead until smooth. Some parts leave white.
- 4. Weigh the blue dough per 35 grams, round it into a ball. Weigh the white dough per 15 g, round it round.
- 5. Take the blue dough, flatten it with the filling and round it again, slightly flatten it using the palm of your hand. Take the white dough, roll it thin, cover some of the blue dough.
- 6. Give the eyes using the white dough which is rolled and molded using the end of a straw. Nose and mouth using red dough, mustache using chocolate dough that is rolled thin and cut lengthwise.
- 7. Profing about 15 to 20 minutes.
- 8. Steam for 8-10 minutes on medium heat, the steamer has been preheated.
- 9. Turn off the stove, wait 4 minutes then open the lid of the steamer.
- 10. Bakpao ready to be served.
