Ingredients Parmesan Banana Rolls

  • 380 gr all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 tsp instant yeast
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 100 ml liquid milk
  • 150 gr super ripe banana, mashed
  • 60 gr butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Egg Wash: 1 egg yolk 2 tbsp liquid milk
  • Sprinkling: 40 gr grated Parmesan cheese
  • Spread: 2 tbsp butter, melted

How to Make Parmesan Banana Rolls

  • 1. In a bowl, mix flour and yeast. Then add sugar, eggs, milk and banana. Knead until it can be formed. Then add butter and salt. Knead until really smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with plastic wrap. Store in a warm place for 60 minutes / until the dough has doubled in size.
  • 2. Deflate the dough. Divide into 12 equals. round up.
  • 3. Prepare the baking tray. Line with parchment paper. Arrange the dough balls on the baking tray. Leave a distance of 2-3 cm. Cover with a dry and clean cloth. Keep in a warm place for 45 minutes until the dough rises.
  • 4. Preheat the oven to 180C from top to bottom.
  • 5. Grease the dough with egg wash. Then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the bread is cooked through and browned. Turn off the oven.
  • 6. While still hot, brush the bread with melted butter. Serve warm.
