Taro Chigiri Condensed Milk Bread
Ingredients
- 355gr high pro flour (I use chakra)
- 180ml water/milk (I used 2 tablespoons of powdered milk, diluted with water to 180ml)
- 115gr sweetened condensed milk
- 6gr yeast
- 3g salt
- 30gr butter
- 1 tsp taro paste (my addition)
Taro Stuffing
- 100gr steamed taro, puree
- 25gr sugar
- 1 tbsp milk powder
- 25gr butter
- 30ml water
- A little taro paste
- Mix all ingredients and cook on low heat
Spread
- 1/2 Egg Yolk Mixed with 1 Tbsp Liquid Milk
Toppings
- Almond Slice
How to make
- 1. Mix flour, milk, skim, yeast, knead until smooth (I use a bosch mixer for 6 minutes) add butter and salt, knead until elastic, add taro paste, knead until well blended
- 2. Round the dough, cover and rest for 1 hour until it doubles in size
- 3. Deflate the dough and divide by 9, round and rest for 10 minutes, roll, roll, roll, fill and shape, place on a baking sheet that has been lined with baking paper/smeared, rest for 45m -1hour until it doubles in size, spread and give toppings
- 4. Bake in a preheated oven, 175C for 35-40 minutes (I only 25 minutes) depending on each oven.
