Ingredients

  • 355gr high pro flour (I use chakra)
  • 180ml water/milk (I used 2 tablespoons of powdered milk, diluted with water to 180ml)
  • 115gr sweetened condensed milk
  • 6gr yeast
  • 3g salt
  • 30gr butter
  • 1 tsp taro paste (my addition)

Taro Stuffing

  • 100gr steamed taro, puree
  • 25gr sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk powder
  • 25gr butter
  • 30ml water
  • A little taro paste
  • Mix all ingredients and cook on low heat

Spread

  • 1/2 Egg Yolk Mixed with 1 Tbsp Liquid Milk

Toppings

  • Almond Slice

How to make

  • 1. Mix flour, milk, skim, yeast, knead until smooth (I use a bosch mixer for 6 minutes) add butter and salt, knead until elastic, add taro paste, knead until well blended
  • 2. Round the dough, cover and rest for 1 hour until it doubles in size
  • 3. Deflate the dough and divide by 9, round and rest for 10 minutes, roll, roll, roll, fill and shape, place on a baking sheet that has been lined with baking paper/smeared, rest for 45m -1hour until it doubles in size, spread and give toppings
  • 4. Bake in a preheated oven, 175C for 35-40 minutes (I only 25 minutes) depending on each oven.
