Sardines Toast

sardines toast

Ingredients

  • 1 can 155gr sardines @bantan.id
  • 3 lbs of white bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1/2 onion cut into small dice
  • 1 scallion sliced
  • Powdered broth
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Salt, pepper
  • Sesame seeds
  • 2 eggs beaten off

Cocolan Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 small diced tomato
  • 1 scallion thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • Salt

Method

  • 1. Drain the sardines from the broth. Set aside the gravy
  • 2. Saute triple onion until fragrant, add sardines and spices, crush with a spatula. Lift
  • 3. Place the sardines on the bread.
  • 4. Coat all parts of the bread with egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • 5. Fry the bread in hot oil. Don't turn it over, just pour hot oil on the top of the bread, fry it until it's brown. Lift.
  • 6. Sauce: heat the sardines, add the scallions, tomatoes and tomato sauce. Add salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the gravy is thick. Lift.
  • 7. Serve the bread with the dipping sauce.
