Cheese Babka
Ingredients
- 300 gr high pro flour
- 72 grams of water
- 5 g instant yeast
- 46 gr sugar
- 40 g whole egg (save the remaining yolk for glazing)
- 80 gr cold liquid milk
- 3 g salt
- 24 gr butter
- smoked beef according to taste
- cheese slices according to taste (I used anchor cheese slices)
How to cook
- 1. Mix ingredients except salt and butter, knead until half smooth
- 2. Add salt and butter, knead until window pane
- 3. Round it up, wait until it expands 2x or about 1 hour
- 4. Roll out, form a square, sprinkle with smoked beef and sliced cheese.
- 5. Roll up neatly, split in 2, wrap
- 6. Put it in a toast pan that has been lined with baking paper
- 7. Let stand until it expands to the size of a toast pan, brush with eggwash (egg yolk mixed with a little milk)
- 8. Oven at 150/180 for 30 minutes or adjust the oven respectively
- 9. Remove, put the cooling rack. Cut it when it's cold. Happy Baking..💚💚
