Red Velvet Material

  • 200 gr wheat flour (sya: blue key)
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 200 ml cooking oil
  • 200 ml butter milk (Ingredients and how to make butter milk are written below)
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar/caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (you can skip it)
  • 1 tablespoon red velvet paste (if you don't have it, you can use red food coloring)
  • 1 tsp vinegar (don't skip it if you want a nice red velvet color)

Butter Milk Ingredients

  • 200 ml plain UHT milk, heat it but don't boil it, just until the edges are bubbly
  • 1 tbsp lime juice/lemon/vinegar
  • How to make :
  • 1. In a container, add warm whole milk, then add lime juice/lemon/vinegar
  • 2. Stir well, let stand 30 minutes until lumps

Cream Frosting Ingredients

  • 1/2 pack cheese spread
  • 8 tbsp butter cream powder (I use pondan)
  • 70 ml super cold water from the fridge
  • Method: mix and blend all ingredients until stiff. Then put it in the fridge while waiting for the red velvet to ripen

How to Make Red Velvet

  • 1. Beat eggs and powdered sugar using a whisk until foamy
  • 2. Enter the baking soda, baking powder, beat using a whisk until blended
  • 3. Enter the vanilla extract, beat again
  • 4. Add vinegar and cocoa powder, beat again
  • 5. Add the Red Velvet paste, mix well
  • 6. Enter the butter milk, beat again
  • 7. Add cooking oil, beat again until smooth
  • 8. Enter the flour, stir until there are no lumps
  • 9. Put the dough in the pan
  • 10. Steam over low heat for about 30 minutes
  • 11. Once cooked, remove from the pan, wait for it to cool, then spread with cream frosting
  • 12. Trim the edges, then make crumbs for topping
