Taiwanese Castella Cake
Ingredients
- 100 gr low protein flour
- 100 gr liquid milk
- 100 gr vegetable oil (coconut cooking oil)
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla paste (optional)
- 6 egg whites
- 100 gr sugar
- tsp salt
How to make
- 1. In a bowl, add flour (sifted), liquid milk, oil, stir until smooth, then add the egg yolks one by one, mix again until smooth using a whisk, set aside
- 2. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy, add salt and sugar gradually until soft peaks
- 3. Enter the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites, fold back with a spatula until smooth (don't over mix)
- 4. Pour into a baking sheet that has been lined with baking paper, then line it with a larger baking sheet and fill with hot water.
- 5. Bake in preheat oven at 150 C for 50-60 minutes on top and bottom fire
- 6. Once cooked, remove from the oven
