Spice Sponge Ingredients

  • *5 eggs
  • *120 g brown sugar finely combed
  • *30 g sugar
  • *1 tsp squeeze sp
  • 125 g flour
  • 25 g cornstarch
  • 25 g milk powder
  • 1 tsp of speck
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 120 g margarine/butter or margarine mix butter

How to Process Spice Sponge

  • Melt the margarine/butter over low heat, don't let it boil, if most of it has melted, turn off the heat, the rest will melt by itself. Let it come to room temperature
  • Sift dry ingredients, set aside
  • Beat ingredients marked * until fluffy and thick
  • Gradually add dry ingredients, mix with a spatula (I mixed on the lowest speed)
  • Gradually add melted butter, mix until smooth (I used a mixer on the lowest speed)
  • Pour into a baking sheet that has been greased and dusted with flour (I used a size 22 Tulban pan).
  • Give topping if you like
  • Bake until done. Remove from the pan, let it cool down until it's not too hot. Ready to cut into slices and serve
