Ingredients

  • 170 gr glutinous rice flour
  • 15 gr sago flour / tapioca
  • pinch of salt
  • Vanilla to taste
  • 150 ml water
  • Pasta/food coloring
  • Bananas cut into 2-3 cm
  • Grated coconut steamed with pandan and a little salt
  • Sugar for sprinkling

How to make

  • 1. Mix the glutinous rice flour, sago, salt, vanilla, add a little water until the dough can be kneaded.
  • 2. Divide the dough into two, add food coloring.
  • 3. Take the dough, fill with bananas, round again.
  • 4. Heat the steamer, put a banana leaf base, rub with a little oil.
  • 5. Don't put the putu on the banana leaf too tightly, steam it for 20 minutes and open it occasionally.
  • 6. Remove, roll in steamed grated coconut, serve with a sprinkling of sugar.
