Red And White Blossom Steamed Sponge
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 200 gr granulated sugar
- 200 gr Low Protein Flour (blue key)
- 140 ml Sprite
- 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
- 1 tsp Emulsifier (SP)
- Dark Red food coloring
How to make
- 1. Beat eggs and sugar with a mixer until fluffy
- 2. Enter the flour that has been mixed with the vanilla powder little by little alternately by pouring the sprite while continuing to mix until well blended
- 3. Enter the SP, beat continuously until blended (the dough is finally thick with traces). Divide the dough into 2, one part add dark red coloring to taste, mix well.
- 4. Preheat the steamer with enough water to boil and steam a lot. Note: don't add too much water, so that when it boils it doesn't splash into the dough (which can cause the cake to shrink when lifted and tough)
- 4. Pour the mixture alternately in color into the steamed sponge mold that has been given a cup, until it is full
- 5. Steam the cake for 20 minutes (depending on the size of the mold) over high heat. Lift and remove from the mould.
