Steamed Milk Sponge

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 95 gr sugar
  • 1 tsp cake emulsifier / SP
  • 40 gr sweetened condensed milk (SKM)
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste
  • 75 gr blue key flour
  • 15 gr cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 70 ml liquid milk
  • 30 g cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (dissolve with a little hot water to make a thick chocolate paste)
  • Topping: Cheddar cheese to taste (grated)

How to make

  • 1. Mix the eggs, sugar, and SP until they become thick and thick.
  • 2. Add SKM and vanilla paste, mix briefly on low speed.
  • 3. Enter the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder while sifting, mix well using a spatula.
  • 4. Enter the liquid milk and cooking oil, stir back using a spatula until blended.
  • 5. Divide the dough into 2 parts. One is given chocolate paste, mix well.
  • 6. Pour each dough (white and brown) into 2 20x10x4cm pans that have been smeared with margarine & lined with parchment paper, steamed for 30 minutes over medium heat or until cooked.
  • 7. After it has cooled a bit, take one of the sponges and rub it with SKM then stack it with other sponges while pressing it a bit. Brush the top of the sponge with Vla Susu and sprinkle with grated cheese. Serve.
  • NOTE: If using a 20x10x10cm pan, first pour the white mixture and steam for 10-15 minutes, then pour the chocolate mixture over it and continue steaming for 20 minutes.
  • Put all ingredients in a bowl, mix well. Cook while continuing to stir until thickened. Milk vla is ready to use.

  • 100 ml liquid milk
  • 40 gr sweetened condensed milk
  • 10 gr cornstarch
