Strudel is a layered cake, made of pastry and filled with various fruits. This cake was a popular dish during the Hasburg Empire (1278 – 1780) in Austria.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of pastry skin
- 4 plantains (halved)
- Chocolate jam to taste
- Sufficiently grated cheese
- Chocolate meses to taste
- 1 egg yolk for greasing
How to make
- 1. Prepare the pastry skin, then lightly roll it.
- 2. Slice the right & left sides equally. Then brush the middle with chocolate jam. Arrange the bananas on top, then sprinkle with chocolate meses & grated cheese.
- 3. Fold the right & left sides of the pastry alternately.
- 4. Brush the surface of the pastry with egg yolk. Sprinkle again with chocolate meses & grated cheese.
- 5. Bake at 200 C until cooked.
