Lotus Fried Bread

Material A

  • – 3gr yeast
  • – 1 tsp sugar
  • – 130ml lukewarm water

Material B

  • – 225gr high/medium protein flour
  • – 27gr milk powder
  • – 30gr sugar
  • – 1 egg yolk
  • – 1/4 tsp salt
  • – 30gr margarine

Toppings

  • ( Suit one's taste)
  • – white chocolate, melted
  • – lotus biscoff spread
  • – lotus biscuit crumbs

Method

  • – mix ingredients A, stir briefly, cover, let stand 10 minutes until foamy, set aside
  • - mix flour, milk powder, sugar, egg yolk and ingredients A
  • Knead until smooth using a fork/spoon
  • (I use a mixer yes)
  • - Add margarine and salt and knead again until smooth
  • Let stand 50 minutes / doubled in size
  • – Deflate the dough, knead briefly, then divide the dough into 13 / @36gr
  • – Rounding until smooth, flat round shape, cover and let stand 30 minutes
  • - Fry in hot oil, over low heat, just flip it once
  • - add toppings according to taste, I'm white chocolate lotus biscoff spread lotus crumbs
  • - ready to be served
